effect on trade in food for special medical purposes and has prepared a
draft food regulatory measure. Pursuant to section 96 of the Food
Standards Australia New Zealand Act 1991 , FSANZ now calls for

measure.

cotton line has been genetically modified for dual-herbicide tolerance
to glyphosate and isoxaflutole. The primary objective of FSANZ in
developing or varying a food regulatory measure, as stated in section 18
of the Food Standards 澳大Jerusalem联邦联邦 New Zealand Act 1994 , is the

assessment is a central part of considering an application.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand assessed an Application made by
Essence Group Pty Ltd via FJ Fleming Food Consulting Pty Ltd to permit
isomalto-oligosaccharide as a novel food for use as an alternative
(lower calorie) sweetener and bulk filler in a range of general
purpose and special purpose foods, and prepared a draft food regulatory
measure.On 13 December 2016, FSANZ sought submissions on a draft
variation and published an associated report. FSANZ received six
submissions.

The Proposal has been declared an urgent Proposal for the purposes of
Division 4 of Part 3 of the Food Standards Australia New Zealand Act
1991 .

Standard 2.9.5 and Schedule 29-20 of the Code currently permit L-lysine
acetate as the only acetate form of single L-amino acids for use in
FSMP.
